Upcoming Women's Encounter

Another Women's Encounter is just around the corner! It's hard to believe this is our 5TH WOMEN'S ENCOUNTER WEEKEND! The dates are Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21. On Friday registration is at 6:30 p.m. and the evening session runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. On Saturday we start bright and early at 8:00 a.m. for continental breakfast and sessions start promptly at 8:30 a.m. We run all day long, breaking for lunch and dinner. The final evening session ends about 9:00 p.m.

Cost is $ 50.00 for first time attenders and $ 25.00 for those who are coming for a second, third, fourth, or fifth time! The registration fee covers all handouts and three meals on Saturday.

This Encounter Weekend is themed "UNDER CONSTRUCTION: A Weekend of Spiritual Transformation." Psalm 103: 3-7 in the Message Bible says, "He forgives our sins: every one. He heals our diseases: every one. He redeems us from hell: saves our life! He crowns us with love and mercy: a paradise crown. He wraps us in goodness: beauty eternal. He renews our youth: always young in His presence."

If you have indicated that you plan to come to the Women's Encounter, we need you to pay your registration fee by this Sunday, June 15. You may mail it, bring it in to the church office, or pay at the Encounter table in the back of the Sanctuary this Sunday morning.

If you HAVE NOT yet registered, please consider attending! Again, we need your registration payment by this Sunday as well.

All Encounter events will take place at Resurrection Life Church in Eden Prairie. There is no childcare provided. Please plan on attending each session, the full Encounter in its entirety. Each session builds on the other and you will want to participate in all that the Holy Spirit has for you!

In closing, have you ever heard the saying "Please be patient: God is not finished with me yet?" It's true! We are "under construction" in many areas of our lives as the Lord renews us through the power of the Cross of Christ. The Encounter Weekends provide opportunity for us to break free of negative habits, bondages, bitterness, wrong thoughts, and past mistakes through discovering the true purposes and plans of the Master Designer for our lives. Those who attend Encounters continually testify of life-transforming experiences. This Weekend will affect your heart and change you forever!

GOLFING FORE MISSIONS: Tuesday, July 22, 2008

The 10th Annual Golfing Fore Missions tournament will take place at Crystal Lake Golf Course in Lakeville on Tuesday, July 22nd with a start time of 11:00 a.m. The cost will be $125 which will cover green fees, cart, dinner and a host of prizes, as well as a fun day!

To speed up registration, please send in forms and fees to Resurrection Life Church prior to July 8th (the earlier the better). Checks can be made payable to Resurrection Life Church, or you may pay by credit card.

As a supporter of missions, you play a vital role in the success of this golf tournament. Registration is limited to 36 teams. Hole sponsorships are $500. Each sponsorship includes your name in the program and on a tournament hole sign – (if you choose, you can use your own sign). MAKEOVER UPDATE!

Last Thursday we started tearing out walls, building counters, stripping wallpaper, pulling carpet, and doing all kinds of other "makeover" activities! This is a HUGE makeover project and we are looking for some more willing and able hands to put to the plow over here at the church! You don't have to be an expert in any type of construction -- just a willing worker will do to make this project a success!

We can use help any day and any time -- just let us know when you can come to help. You can stay one hour, a couple hours, a half day -- night or day -- we will "work with you" if you will "work with us!"

We have jobs for men and women -- and hard working teens are welcome to help us as well. Please call our children's pastor Melissa Hanson ASAP to let her know when you can help.
